Oilcloths were used extensively in the 19th c to decorate and protect floors in Victorian homes. Students learn how to imitate these cloths using water base mediums. Methods in canvas preparation, design, colour and stenciling will be taught. Students will also learn how to protect these cloths from wear and tear. Students take home one completed oilcloth canvas app. 3’ x 5’.
